The purpose of this organization is to benefit local families.

This organization shall provide financial support to local families with a child who has or has had a life threatening or terminal disease or injury.

Our goal is to assist these families with financial support – allowing them the
freedom to spend time as a family without the worry of financial burden.

In 2002, Michael Hope was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

Being a close friend of the family and seeing the potential need they would have, James Colston immediately took action. With the help of friends and family the first event was held in December 2002. Hoops for Hope was a big success and a great learning experience!

This year we are preparing for growth. We have formed The Hope for Michael Foundation, a Non-Profit Corporation. We are applying for tax-exempt 501(c)(3) status.

We are also expanding our outreach. This year we will be taking applications from families in need of financial support.

We have been able to do a lot for Michael, but with your help we know we can do more. We can reach more families and touch more lives.
