In 2002, Michael Hope was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
Being a close friend of the family and seeing the potential need they would have, James Colston immediately took action. With the help of friends and family the first event was held in December 2002. Hoops for Hope was a big success and a great learning experience!
As we prepared for growth. We formed The Hope for Michael Foundation, a Non-Profit Corporation. We recieved our tax-exempt 501(c)(3) status.
Our goal as a foundation is to reach other families in need of financial support. We want to ease their financial burden so that they may focus on enjoying life.
We have been able to do a lot for Michael, but with your help we know we can do more. We can reach more families and touch more lives.
